Reminder: Applying/Using Macros

Macros were introduced in February of 2023.

*Macros are Department-specific, if All Departments is selected, you cannot use Macros*


Review the steps below. If Macros could be helpful to you or your team, contact the Zoho OnSite Support Team.

Uses for Macros

  1. Useful when replying to multiple tickets at once
    1. Student Orientation Tickets
    2. Exam Review Tickets
    3. Broken Links
    4. Course Content Issues that affect multiple users
  2. Assigning Multiple Tickets to one person
  3. Closing Multiple Tickets at once

How to Apply Macros

  1. Hover over the email Icon on the left side of the Ticket. You will see a checkbox to select the ticket. Select the tickets you want to apply a Macro.



  1. Use the Toolbar and select the action you want to perform - Assign To, Close, or apply Macro

  1. Assign To allows you to select a person to assign the selected tickets


  1. Close allows you to close the tickets selected at once


  1. Macro displays a list of your department's macros. Select the appropriate Macro to respond to the recipients.

Applying Zoho Signature to All Departments

If you have noticed your signature appears in some departments but not others, you need to enable it for all departments you have access to.
1. Select your Profile Picture or Initials
2. Select Preferences

3. Select More in the top right corner of the menu

4. Scroll down to Signature
  1.       Enable Signature
  2.       Select View Signature

5. Create your Signature
6. Use the Up Arrow to the right of the Save Button
7. Check Apply to all departments
8. Save
