What Is the Timeline for a QA Review?

What Is the Timeline for a QA Review?

What should you expect for a timeline on the various QA deliverables? The timeline for a review depends on the type of review and the number of courses involved.

Milestone Checks

Each milestone check has its own timeline.
  1. Course Design Map. Once an ID completes a course map, the ID manager provides a review within 3–5 days.
  2. Course Build Document. If the course design process includes a course build document, the review time is approximately 1 week.
  3. LMS Implementation. QA course review notes are available 2–3 weeks after the start of the review. Total time needed is dependent on credit hours and number of modules included in the course.

First-Run Course

First-run course reviews entail looking at student data in addition to the course design and implementation. Depending on the availability of student data, a QA report is ready 3–4 weeks after the start of the review process.

QA Comprehensive Review

Comprehensive reviews depend upon condition of the current course version and a wide array of data from students, partner program staff, internal support team, learning design, and e-learning support. From the start of the review process to the delivery of a report takes 3–4 months.

QA Sample Course Review

Sample course reviews depend upon the same factors as a comprehensive review. Depending on the number of courses in review, typically 3–4 courses, the process takes approximately 6–8 weeks.

Student Course Evaluations

Student course evaluation timelines depend on the availability of the student data from the partner. Once QA receives the data, it takes 5 weeks for completion of the partner dashboard. If it is a reporting semester, it takes 8 weeks to prepare the report.

Quality Gauges

Quality gauges are refreshed every 1–2 years. Requests for an update can be requested; approximate timeline is 6–8 weeks.
