What Are the Best Practices for Digital Assets?
- Recorded material is accompanied by a transcript or script of the audio track.
- Images that provide content are accompanied by alt text descriptions.
- Presentation materials enrich the content in the course materials or other resources and address bottleneck concepts. Does not simply “read the book” to the students in a different format (e.g., narrating the accompanying slide decks from the publisher).
- Length of lecture-type materials is limited to 5–7 minutes for a module, lesson, or set of key concepts. Focuses on application, synthesis of module content, and/or clarification of difficult concepts.
- Materials have been vetted for copyright and appropriate fair use.
